Join the Team
At Create Balance Counseling, we’re building a practice where therapists can do meaningful work.
We provide high-quality care to individuals, couples, and families—and are actively expanding our offerings through wellness workshops and community-based services. We’re equally committed to creating a supportive, sustainable environment for the clinicians who make that work possible.
We’re currently hiring two therapists to join our collaborative team in Hinsdale.
What makes this role different:
A sustainable, manageable caseload (we work with you to find the right balance)
Flexibility in scheduling and autonomy in your clinical work
A genuinely supportive team environment—consultation, collaboration, and connection are part of the culture
Administrative and referral support so you can focus on therapy, not logistics
A practice that prioritizes clinician wellbeing, not just productivity
Opportunities to contribute to or develop workshops, groups, or specialized offerings based on your interests
Who we’re looking for:
Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field
Licensed or license-eligible in Illinois (LPC, LCPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, PhD, etc.)
Strong clinical skills and ability to build rapport with diverse clients
Commitment to growth, learning, and ethical care
Private practice experience is a plus, but not required
Creative arts therapists (ATR, DMT, MT-BC) are strongly encouraged to apply
Our ideal candidate:
Has a genuine passion for ongoing clinical growth and development
Feels comfortable working across the lifespan
Practices from an eclectic, integrative approach—drawing from evidence-based treatments alongside relational, psychodynamic, and systems perspectives
Values thoughtful, individualized care and sees therapy as both art and science
Is interested in being part of a connected, collaborative team—we are actively building community both within our practice and for our clients, including the development of wellness workshops and group offerings
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation range: $50–$80 per clinical hour, depending on experience and licensure
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
Paid time off
401(k) with matching
Short- and long-term disability insurance
CE stipend and ongoing professional development support
Access to supervision and consultation
A note for therapists:
We know many clinicians are coming from high-demand or burnout-heavy environments. This role is designed to be different—supportive, flexible, and sustainable over the long term.
